hello.

Today, we introduce Taekwondowon, the second destination of the Taekwon tour enjoyed at the unique accommodation Taekwondowon. Following my last post, this is my second travel destination to enjoy Taekwondowon. Probably not many people know that there is a place called Taekwondowon. I also found out this time. It was also a place where my family and I spent two nights on a Taekwondo tour, and we were like, wow, wow at every moment.

Taekwondowon, the Holy Land of Taekwondo

Taekwondowon

There was an opportunity for my family to go to Taekwondowon. My 7-year-old son had a promotion exam in September. I don't know how hard my 7-year-old son worked to become competent enough to be evaluated by Kukkiwon. I was really proud of my son who went to the Taekwondo gym twice a day to practice Poomsae for about two months. So, her husband planned a trip to Taekwondo Center for his hard-working son.

Taekwondowon, the Holy Land of Taekwondo, boasts an enormous size: 10 times the size of Seoul World Cup Stadium, 1/2 the size of Yeouido, Seoul, two 18-hole golf courses, and 70% of New York's Central Park. Since it is located at the foot of Baekun Mountain, you can also see the surrounding natural scenery.

On the day of the promotion review, I leave home wearing a white uniform and try kicking around in the apartment complex. Also, my son, who came out after the screening was over, was the youngest candidate, so he was judged number 1. It is said that he performed the 4th and 8th chapters of Taegeuk.

I had to drive a long way up from the entrance to the Hapjeong Hall where the accommodations were located before I could reach the lobby. There were angel wings in the sky in front of the jumping hall, so I couldn't help but take a picture.

Due to the coronavirus, the Taekwondowon restaurant was closed, so I had chicken delivered from BBQ, which was the only place that could provide delivery.

The next morning, I started taking a walk on the grassy playground in front of the jumping center. We had plans for a Taekwondo performance at 11 o'clock and to take the monorail to the observatory.

We traveled a short distance from the jump center to T1 Stadium. I was able to enjoy the natural environment of Taekwondowon along with the pretty fall sky.

I was also able to visit the National Taekwondo Museum next to T1 Stadium.

This is a Taekwondo performance held at T1 Stadium. My heart is pounding from the sound of cheers! I definitely recommend it. The fact is that the video is less than 10% as impressive as the actual concert hall!! I urge you to watch it with your children.

Free if you have a Jeonbuk Tour Pass!

Take the monorail to the observatory!! After finishing the performance at T1 Stadium, take the shuttle bus for about 5 minutes to arrive at the monorail boarding point.

While riding the shuttle bus, I was able to see some of the hidden places of Taekwondowon. Hoyeonjeong, Taekwondo, Myeonginkwon, etc. were really beautiful.

After taking the monorail up 256 meters, you arrive at the observatory, where you can see truly beautiful scenery including Baekunsan Mountain, Deogyusan Mountain, Daedeoksan Mountain, and Minjoojisan Mountain.

After finishing visiting the observatory, we left Taekwondowon in the afternoon, looked around here and there, including Jeonju Hanok Village, and arrived back at Taekwondowon late at night. The night view of Taekwondo Park was so pretty that I wanted to go out, but I decided to take a break for tomorrow's schedule.
